Vintage fabrics

woohoo!!! I am so excited today, went to the Op Shop and got the first of many pieces of vintage fabrics. Not sure if they are all true vintage but I love the designs. Am thinking these will be turned into a variety of skirts for Saskia and I.

Rich if you read this, it's not my fault, trully. It is those gorgeous sewing girls from EB, they made me do it :)

OK I am a true communication slacker. It has been over 10 days since my last blog entry. I promise to try harder.

Not much personal sewing going on here ATM. Am busy making bassinet and cot sheet sets this week but have so many sewing projects in my mind just waiting for the time to get to them *sigh*

Have got some great bargains lately, woohoo.

Not quite sure what to make with this. It is a lawn weight cotton. Maybe a skirt for me :)

Finished this one today. It is the same pattern as the previous top. The fabric is a micro fine towelling which is super soft for the precious Miss S.

Some great kinder pants, so easy to make. The hot pink ones have darts at the front as Saskia is a skinny minny and the pattern was too bulky.
The purple ones are a great knit type fabric with a flock lining. They turned out fine even though th epattern said not to use stretch fabrics.
Will make her some more of these for kinder and maybe a couple of good pairs.

Made this for Madam out of a gorgeous Japanese cotton/lycra. The hems are in a lettuce stitch on the overlocker, the first attempt at doing it and I am happy with the result.

Was cut as a size 4 but a tad too short so I have cut another in a different fabric and made it longer.

Saskia loves it, so that's a good start :)
